Picture one from my early bloody-mood phase. I admit being a little morbid. I do see some ressemblance.
Blood has the most beautiful red imaginable. The downside is that it tends to become brown and blotchy after having dryed. The effect can partly be prevented by mixing it with sodium chloride solution and carmine red gouache.
